The two-days Dzongkhag Tshogdu concluded on 5th March, 2026 with the offering of a Zhabten. The session was chaired by the Dzongkhag Tshogdu Thrizin and attended by the Dasho Dzongdag, the Member of Parliament from Mongar Dzongkhag, the Gewog Thrizin, regional and sector representatives.

The House deliberated on the budget allocation for the Financial Year 2026โ€“2027. The Tshogdu also discussed on the construction of a Choekhang (offering room) at Mongar Public Ground, as well on the reallocation of Mongar Gewog office from the municipal area. The Mongar Gup raised concern on the time for operating vegetable shed to allow local farmers more time to sell their products.

The issues discussed during the session were on water shortages in Mongar town and its surrounding areas, shortage of health staff at Nagor Hospital, and a need of utility vehicles for Kengkhar and Nagor Schools.

The House also deliberated an additional budget for the Sherimuhung Gewog GSB Road and road maintenance between Tsakaling Gewog and Autsho.
