In a concerted effort to strengthen digital governance and workplace resilience, the ICT Section, in collaboration with the GovTech Agency, organized a one-day specialized workshop on Friday, 22nd May 2026. The programme brought together 95 participants, including officials from the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP), Eastern Regional Referral Hospital (ERRH), regional offices, Dzongkhag administration, and staff from nearby schools.

The workshop covered three critical thematic areas:
– ๐๐ค๐ค๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ค๐ง๐ ๐จ๐ฅ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฎ, focusing on standardizing official communication, real-time collaboration, and digital records management;
– ๐ฝ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐๐ฃ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ฉ๐ฎ (๐๐ฟ๐) ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, oriented towards enabling secure, authenticated, and trusted service delivery while reducing reliance on paper-based processes; and
– ๐พ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐๐๐ช๐ง๐๐ฉ๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ผ๐ง๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ก๐ก๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐๐จ๐จ, equipping officials with the knowledge to safeguard government data and engage responsibly with emerging AI technologies.
The workshop reflects the Royal Government’s strategic priority of building a digitally resilient civil service, capable of delivering efficient, secure, and citizen-centric services in alignment with Bhutan’s broader digital transformation goals.
