The Mongar Dzongkhag Administration observed the 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙔𝙤𝙜𝙖 on 21 June 2026, joining the global celebration of yoga under this year’s theme, “𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴.” The programme brought together officials and staff for a one-and a half hour session aimed at promoting physical well being, mental wellness, and healthy lifestyles.
The observance included a yoga session as the core activity, a stress management session, and a Wellness Pledge activity. As part of the pledge, participants committed themselves to adopting healthy habits over the next 30 days, reinforcing the importance of personal responsibility in maintaining good health and well being.
The programme highlighted key messages on the benefits of yoga for physical and mental health, stress management, healthy eating practices, and the importance of cultivating positive daily habits. The observance served as a reminder that small and consistent lifestyle changes can contribute significantly to healthier and more fulfilling lives.
