The Mongar Dzongkhag Administration celebrated the 46th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the King at the public ground today. The auspicious occasion was graced by the Venerable Lam Neten of Mongar Rabdey as the Chief Guest and was attended by civil servants, public officials, and the local community.

The celebration commenced with a ceremonial march past by personnel from the Royal Bhutan Police (RBP) and De-suups, paying tribute to His Majestyโ€™s visionary leadership. Students from Mongar Higher Secondary School, Kidheykhar Central School, Mongar Middle Secondary School, and Ridaza Primary School added to the festivities with a series of colorful cultural performances.

A significant part of the ceremony was dedicated to honoring academic excellence. The Dzongkhag Administration awarded prizes and certificates to the academic toppers of the Bhutan Council for School Examinations and Assessment (BCSEA). Furthermore, recognition was given to toppers within each class across the Dzongkhag for their performance in the “Common Paper” examinations. These standardized examinations were recently initiated by the Dzongkhag Administration for all non-board classes (excluding Classes 6, 8, 10, and 12) to ensure educational uniformity and quality.

The event concluded with prayers for His Majesty’s long life and the peace and prosperity of the Kingdom of Bhutan
