On 18 September 2025, from 1015 hours to 1400 hours, the Deputy Chief of Police, Crime and Operations Department, HQ Thimphu, delivered a sensitisation talk on โCrime & Drugsโ to officials and stakeholders in Mongar Dzongkhag.
The session was attended by Dzongkhag officials, Court officials, school Principals, Gups, Desuups, cab drivers, and shopkeepers. The presentation served as an awareness and sensitisation program highlighting the prevailing situation of crime and drug abuse both within the Dzongkhag and across the country.
The Deputy Chief of Police underscored the responsibility and accountability of stakeholders and individuals in striving to make their respective Dzongkhags, Gewogs, and communities crime- and drug-free zones. He emphasized that while GMC has been prioritized, other Dzongkhags must follow suit with equal commitment.
