The Bhutan Standards Bureau (BSB), under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment (MoICE), conducted a half-day awareness program on the upcoming notification that will require only BSB-certified products to be imported into the country through authorized dealers. This notification, which covers a list of 15 specified products, will come into effect on 1st January 2026.
In addition, the Regional Office of Industry, Commerce and Employment held advocacy sessions to raise awareness about the Ministry’s services, policies, and regulations.
The program was attended by various stakeholders, including officials from the Dzongkhag Administration, a representative from the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), as well as contractor representative and shopkeepers from Mongar, Gyalpoizhing, and Lingmethang.
