The ๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ช ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ was inaugurated this morning at Zhongar Park, graced by Dasho Dzongdag as the guest of honor. The event was attended by Dasho Drangpon, the Superintendent of Police, Officer Commanding from Gyalpoizhing and Mongar, Lopens from Mongar Rabdey, local government leaders, regional and sector heads, and business representatives. It also saw participation from UNICEF Deputy Representative to Bhutan, Ms. Fawzia Hoodbhoy, Dr. Meenakshi Rai, Program Director of RENEW, and officials from both ๐จ๐ก๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ช.
The ๐ฅ๐๐ก๐๐ช ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ (Safe Spaces) aim to:
1. Enhance safety and protection for women, girls, and vulnerable groups.
2. Empower survivors through livelihood and life skills training.
3. Improve access to services like counseling, child protection, and case management.
4. Foster community engagement in addressing gender-based violence (GBV) and child protection issues.

– Case management with personalized support for survivors.
– Counseling and psychosocial support for trauma recovery and mental well-being.

– Awareness and advocacy programs promoting community understanding of GBV, child protection, and mental health.
