The refresher course for Search and Rescue (SAR) began today at the Mongar Dzongkhag police station in the presence of Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho SP, and Dasho OC. The training includes 26 participants, comprising De-suups and police personnel.
In the opening remarks, Dasho Dzongdag emphasized the importance of preparedness for disasters and the proper use of search and rescue equipment. The three-day training, scheduled from today until December 29, started with an introduction to the tools and equipment and their applications. Participants were also taught and demonstrated techniques for using ropes and knots specific to different disaster scenarios and environments.
