Observing Zhabdrung Kuchoe: A Solemn Homage to Unity

Annually, on the 10th day of the third month in the Bhutanese lunar calendar, the nation solemnly commemorates Zhabdrung Kuchoe. This significant day marks the anniversary of the passing of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1651.

This day is steeped in reverence as Bhutan pays homage to Zhabdrung, the unifier and the founder of the nation. In Mongar, the Dzongkhag Administration joins hands with citizens across the country in a collective prayer. The Mongar Dzongkhag along with the Mongar Rabdey pray for the peace and prosperity of our beloved King, the continued progress of the nation, and the well-being of its people.
