The week-long 2nd Nachung Leadership Training for scouts concluded today, January 1, 2025, at the Mongar Higher Secondary Multipurpose Hall. Themed "Grooming Future Leaders for a Better Tomorrow," the training aimed to nurture future leaders and was attended by schools children from six eastern Dzongkhags and Samdrup Jongkhar Thromde. A total of 97 participants, comprising 53 girls and 44 boys, took part in the program.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Dasho Dzongdag of Mongar Dzongkhag and was attended by the Chief DEO, and the Dy Chief DEO. During the event, Dasho Dzongdag reiterated the importance of the "4Cs" — Certificates, Credentials, Character, and Communication — as emphasized by His Majesty the King to the first cohort of Gyalsups. Dasho also encouraged the young scouts to cultivate a habit of reading extensively and to remain mindful of changes occurring in and around their surroundings.
Additionally, Dasho highlighted the significance of the Gelephu Mindfulness City, and also urged the participants to embrace modern technology as a valuable tool for progress.
