The Skills4Life program for Mongar Dzongkhag has commenced today with the starting of basic tailoring skills for total of 11 ESP/GSP staff (3 female and 8 male) for Mongar Cluster. In a simple opening ceremony held at the CLC, Mongar MSS, Dasho Dzongdag reiterated how the program was born out of His Majesty the King's noble vision to initiate a program to enhance the capabilities of our current workforce through the culture of life-long learning. Dasho also highlighted the need to dedicate oneself in pursuing skills that would benefit oneself, one's family and the community in the long run. Out of various programs in the pipeline, the Dzongkhag will roll out two programs of tailoring for Gyalpoizhing Cluster and mushroom cultivation in the coming week.
