The Public of Monggar Dzongkhag joins the nation in celebrating and offering our warmest congratulations on the joyous occasion of the Royal birth of Her Royal Highness the Princess.
Monggar Dratshang performed sacred rituals, including the Zhabdrung Daknangmai Tshogkhor and Guru Drakmar Kurim at Dratshang Kuenrey starting from yesterday. The proceedings today also included offering of a heartwarming cake, the lighting of traditional butter lamps and offering of Tashi Khadhar.
Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Drangpon, Dasho Dzongrab, DT Thridzin, Regional and Sector Heads joined in celebrating the day. The day ended with offering of prayers and lightning of butter lamps at Kelikhar Lungtok Choki Gatshel Shedra in the afternoon.
Monggar Dratshang will perform Namgyel Tongchoe Kurim tomorrow morning followed by various entertainment program at the Dzong courtyard to mark the day.
