During the National Chess Tournament organized by the National Chess Federation on 23rd and 24th January 2025 in Thimphu, Mr. Tobden Singye of Mongar MSS secured the runners-up trophy due to his strong performance in the tournament. Similarly, Ms. Sonam Deki from Losel Yangchenling Nunnery, Yakpogang, who also played for Mongar Youth Center, won the Best Player trophy among nuns, showcasing her exceptional strategic thinking and determination. The Dzongkhag congratulates them on their stellar performance and for making the Dzongkhag proud.
