The Dzongkhag Administration Mongar is privileged to welcome His Excellency Finance Minister Lyonpo Namgay Tshering on the morning of 1st February 2019. Mongar is the fifth amongst Eastern Dzongkhags His Excellency made his first ever visit. Hon'ble Lyonpo was welcomed by Lam Neten, Dasho Dzongdag, Dasho Dzongrab, Dasho Drungpa, LG leaders, Sector Heads and Staff of the Dzongkhag.
The program started with offering of Marchang Ceremony and reciting of His Majesty's Zhabtoen. Hon'ble Lyonpo also consented to recevie Khadar from offcials present during the meeting.
Honorable Lyonpo convened an hour long meeting with the Dzongkhag Sector Heads and Gewog Thrizins in the Dzongkhag DT hall. Lyonpo highlighted on some of the party pledges and moreover said that the support will be rendered impartially to all the Dzongkhags regardless of the number of votes secured during the NA election. Lyonpo also talked on 12th FYP and the importance of the Local Government leaders in the implementation of the Plan.
After the meeting, Lyonpo made a visit to the Goenkhang and Kuenrey of Dratshang followed by visit to Mongar Regional Referral Hospital. Sarpang Dzongkhag will be the next Dzongkhag Lyonpo wishes to visit.
