The Basic Unit Leaders Training Course, spanning five days attended by 100 participants with 8 resource person and 8 leadership scouts at Desuung Skilling Program Training Centre, Gyalpoizhing from 14th -19th March 2024 organized by Monggar Dzongkhag Scout Association in collaboration with Bhutan Scout Association proved to be a transformative journey, both professionally and personally. The training course offered a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experiences, equipped with the skills and confidence to lead scouting units effectively in their respective schools.
Throughout the course, the emphasis on foundational scouting principles, leadership development, and practical application was evident. One of the highlights of the course was the opportunity to collaborate with fellow participants, sharing experience. The BULT Course was a transformative journey that exceeded expectations in terms of content, delivery, and outcomes. Through a combination of skill development, expedition, team building, and reflection, participants emerged from the camp with a newfound appreciation for nature, strengthened bonds with their peers, and a sense of accomplishment in overcoming challenges.
The opening ceremony was graced by the Principal Dzongkhag Education Officer and the closing ceremony was honored by the honorable Dasho Dzongdag of Monggar joined by chief Dzongkhag Education Officer and the nearby school Principals.
The honorable guest of honor emphasized to all the participants that knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom and as an educator if we are given a chance to be a role model, we can influence the life of younger generations and that’s what it’s all about.
